South Coast Plaza celebrated its 55th anniversary with a Chef’s Dinner fundraiser that benefitted Careers Through Culinary Arts Program LA (C-CAP). The sold-out event, held on June 5, raised more than $100,000 and was sponsored by South Coast Plaza and The Jonathan Club.
The evening began with a reception at Chef Tony Esnault and restaurateur Yassmin Sarmadi’s Michelin-star Knife Pleat, where guests enjoyed two signature cocktails provided by Vaca and Knife Pleat, along with a Whispering Angel Rosé wine bar hosted by Moët Hennessy.
Later, guests enjoyed a curated four-course dinner paired with wines, created by C-CAP alum Chef Amar Santana from Vaca/Broadway, and Esnault.
The evening concluded with a silent and live auction. Donors included Westin South Coast Plaza, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Moët Hennessy, Melissa’s Produce, Moulin and Läderach Chocolatier Suisse.
