VEHICLES: Amazon, Cox Enterprises execs add experience to Rivian

While Rivian’s exec team skews young, the automaker’s board—drawn from its largest investors and other businesses—has its share of experience. They count an average age of 57, not including chairman RJ Scaringe. Here’s a quick rundown of each director:

KAREN BOONE

BACKGROUND: Former president and chief financial and administrative officer at Restoration Hardware Inc., Deloitte & Touche LLP audit partner. Currently on the Sonos Inc., Peloton Interactive Inc., Tory Burch LLC, Clif Bar & Company, Collective Health and Modern Animal board of directors.

SANFORD SCHWARTZ

BACKGROUND: Cox Enterprises Inc. veteran since 1985 and is currently CEO of the Cox Family Office. Former Cox Automotive Inc. president and CEO. Currently serving on the board of A.C. Green Youth Foundation and Northwood University.
